Video Poker is a popular game that can be wagered on in casinos around the world, or in your house on your home computer, using an Internet account. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and involve the player trying to get the best combination of cards achievable in order to acquire money. In this respect it is very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the line of contact with competing players. Normally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It is obvious that the pay out schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable players are agile enough to choose the most profitable game each time.
Once the first round has finished, the player can either choose to continue on and try to to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Further, a few styles of the game give the gambler an opportunity to increase their profits, in which situation a further hand is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
