Electronic Poker is a favored game that usually will be wagered on in casinos across the world, or alternatively at your house on your home computer, through an Internet connection. The game of Video Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will then be electronically ‘distributed’ on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and bettors should now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the enthusiast has selected which cards he or she wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards are dealt if desired. The round is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.
Generally, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can change from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable gamblers are able to select the most beneficial machine every time.
As soon as the initial round has played out, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Further, a few styles of the game allow the gambler a chance to increase their winnings, in which case a further game is played. There are also variations among specific games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to increase playability.
